12 Days of DIY Christmas – Day 2: Vanilla Peppermint Sugar Scrub

Who doesn’t love shower scrubs?! My mom makes this coffee one that is SO stinking’ good (stay tuned for a possible DIY post on that)!! But for today, I’m bringing you a super simple Vanilla Peppermint Sugar Scrub!

1_2 Cup Coconut Oil

  • 1 Cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Coconut Oil
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Peppermint Essential Oil or Peppermint Extract
  • Glass Jar
  • Ribbon (Optional)
  • Sharpie (Optional)
  • Scissors (Optional)

Step 1: Mix your sugar with your coconut oil in a bowl. Mix until smooth.

Step 2: Add in 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3: Add in 6-10 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix thoroughly.

Step 4: Take mixture and scoop into your glass jar.

Step 5: Close lid and here’s where you can get creative: I added a cute little christmas ribbon and wrote on the lid “Vanilla Peppermint Sugar Scrub”

And you’re done! This 5 minute DIY Christmas gift is thoughtful, quick and easy. You can probably do it with items already in your house. The only thing I had to go out and buy was the glass jar (we had large mason jars already, but I didn’t want to make THAT much sugar scrub lol). Plus, if you don’t have these scents already, it is so easily interchangeable with different essential oils.

Happy Holiday DIYing!
